JEEP COMPASS

JEEP has recently launched its new model COMPASS . Price of all variants of COMPASS is also less than expectations of INDIAN market conditions. JEEP has given INDIAN market some affordable SUV. COMPASS will give tough competition to all its rivals. Now lets talk about looks of this new machine 

EXTERIOR

LEDs ARE ON 

   From exterior you can find COMPASS very stunning. COMPASS have seven slot grille at front . It makes it standing out from other rivals . This seven slot grille is signature of JEEP . You will notice this grille in all models of  JEEP . COMPASS has headlamps have distinctive features like DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP along with LED Strip . Side profile of car have Body coloured exterior side mirrors with side signal indicators along with chrome accents. It also has Cornering Fog lamps .




Sloping roof lines creates stunning profile that will catch your eyes within seconds . Back side is also very stylish .COMPASS has different wheel design options . This wheel  perform well in city as well as while doing some off road stretch . This wheels are for all terrain purpose .


INTERIOR
 

INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM

As soon you enter in cabin you will find  white and grey colour interiors in dashboard and door pads . . JEEP has provided 7 inch touch screen infotainment system . Glove box in COMPASS has smooth damping effect . In the front it will be difficult for  you to  find some little place for your belongings to kept like mobile , wallet, etc . Seats of COMPASS are very comfortable along with better support . Steering wheel is nice leather wrapped with mounted controls for infotainment . Information cluster is 3.5 inch ,giving freedom to customise according to your choice .

STEERING WHEEL AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

In middle row seat are very comfortable , leg room is also good . Flow panel has little amount of hump .  There are two ac vents in back , also  one usb port .If there are only two people in back , then you get nice armrest . JEEP COMPASS boot has capacity 438 Lt . It is square shape boot .spare wheel is kept behind lead in boot space . Loading lift is not very high . Low can easily kept your luggage . JEEP COMPASS has 6 speaker mounted in such ways that gives you superior experience .

ENGINE & OTHER SPECIFICATION

DIESEL ENGINE is 1955 cc , it gives power delivery of  171 BHP @ 3750 rpm & torque of 350Nm.
PETROL ENGINE is  1368cc , it will give you 160 BHP @   3750 rpm & torque of 250 NM  & TURBOCHARGE . Power delivery figures for petrol engine is very good . This is same engine you will get in FIAT PUNTO . DIESEL VARIANT has only 6 speed manual gear box option to choose from  while PETROL VARIANT has 7 speed automatic and 6 speed manual gear box option . In DIESEL variant gear throws are nice . But are not light , it require little extra effort . Clutch is also strong in diesel variant . DIESEL variant also shows turbo lag below 2000 rpm . You will get best delivery of torque in range of 2000-3500 rpm .  Steering on COMPASS is little tight , this steering experience , you will face in only city roads . During highway roads this steering is very good responsive . Suspension is little firm , in city speed you will get some noise of rumble strap but this will get disappear in highway . Nice soundproofing is done all through body of COMPASS . You will not hear sound of diesel engine in cabin . Cabin is very well isolated from out side noise.

JEEP COMPASS has different modes . You will get AUTO ,MUD, SNOW, SAND mode to choose . In these mode engine , suss pension , gearbox changes its property and gives better driving experience in chosen mode .COMPASS has HILL START  ASSIST feature in it .

AIRBAGS 

JEEP COMPASS comes with 6 AIR BAGS . It has full length side curtains for front and rear occupants. Also has seat mounted side airbags for front passengers . COMPASS has all TERIANN TYRE , it works well in all season .With this tyre you don't have to worry . It has ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL . ESC will look for feature such as ABS , HILL START ASSIST , all speed grip control . COMPASS has also ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE. EPB engages brake when door of vehicle is open and seat belt is unbuckled . It automatically disengages when it find safe conditions . You will miss TRACTION CONTROL in COMPASS .

ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE

JEEP COMPASS has quoted millage of 17.1 km pl for 4*2 variants and 16.3 km pl for 4*4 variants . JEEP provided price range of COMPASS in range of 14.69-20.66 lacks which is low compare to expectations of INDIAN MARKET.
