• HONDA BR-V VX VARIANT GETS  DIGIPAD INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM -

   Until  now BR-V is the only car in segment that does not have Touchscreen Infotainment System . Honda BR-V gets new 7-inch DIGIPAD INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM in top spec VX variant .BR-V now also comes with rear camera support , parking sensors . This rear parking sensors is available with all variant except base variant . The infotainment system comes with Bluetooth connectivity , Micro-SD and USB inputs . It also has 1.5 GB built in storage . There is function of Voice Command for navigation , calling and media . It also has built in Satellite navigation and WIFI for live traffic updates .

• TOYOTA FORTUNER TRD SPORTIVO LAUNCHED IN INDIA -   

     Toyota has launched Fortuner TRD Sportivo in INDIA at price of 31.01 lakhs Ex-showroom in Delhi . Booking of Fortuner TRD Sportivo is already started and it is on display in all showroom across India . Fortuner has received lot of exterior changes but there are no change in engine of this machine . This new variant is available in 4*2 AT designed by Toyota Racing Development . This Fortuner has TRD Sportivo badging at rear . 

• MAHINDRA TUV300 T10 VARIANT HAS BEEN LAUNCHED -

    This new variant of TUV300 is top variant of model . Number of features has been added to this TUV300 T10 variant . Prices of TUV300 T10 is yet to be announced . The new T10 variant will be available in both manual and AMT system .  Details of this variant will be explained in separate post .

• Maruti S-CROSS LAUNCHED AT PRICE OF 8.49 LAKHS -

    Maruti S-Cross is launched in INDIA at price of 8.49 lakhs . This face lift variant is on sale in INDIAN market . S-CROSS face lift is available in four trip options - SIGMA, DELTA, APLHA ,ZETA . S-Cross received lot of changes in exterior , interior and engine section . Mild Hybrid Technology is added to S-Cross which  makes it more efficient than previous model .

MARUTI CIAZ FACELIFT

Maruti Suzuki`s  highly popular and mid size sedan ,CIAZ receives midlife updates . Updates will be cosmetic along with some additions to feature list .Prices should remain more or less the same . It is now being sold through the NEXA . The car is available with Delta , Zeta , Sigma , Alpha and Sports variants nameplates .

Mechanically , the upcoming CIAZ face lift will be same as current car . Powering the CIAZ petrol version is 1.4 Lt K14 VVT engine , which will be delivering 91 BHP at about 6000 RPM with torque of 130 NM . While the diesel variant gets engine of 1.3 Lt DDis 200 Hybrid motor with power of 89 BHP at about 4000 RPM and Torque of  200 NM . CIAZ comes with conventional 5 speed manual gearbox . 4 speed Automatic gearbox comes only with ZXI variant . As 1.3 Lt comes with Hybrid Tech also known as SVHS makes most Fuel Efficient Car in INDIA .It claims mileage of 28.09 KMPL . Even Petrol variant offers millage of around 20 KMPL .

This mild Hybrid technology has Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) . This system processes generated braking power and also stores it battery . The  battery restarts car whenever car halts at signal and thus reduces engine load . This auto start stops feature reduces emissions and saves fuel . 

Looking for updates received on CIAZ includes mostly changes on exterior . These changes could be similar to CHINA- Spec ALIVIO sedan . Grille gets slightly new design . The front and rear Bumper gets additional Chrome garnish . There is lot of chrome all around body to give more premium looks . CIAZ gets boot space of 510 litres  .

In interior section CIAZ does not get lot more changes . CIAZ cabin is already pretty rich in terms of looks and equipment . The sedan gets touchscreen infotainment system with voice command ,navigation system ,Apple Car-play and Android Auto . However Sunroof may be available with top end variant . ABS with EBD , Reverse parking sensors , dual airbags , key-less entry , leather upholstery , steering mounted audio are other key features which will make cabin more fabulous . 

As CIAZ moves to premium dealership NEXA its old Metallic Being shade is dropped and gets all new NEXA blue color . Others includes Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown , Pearl Midnight Black , Pear Snow White , Pearl Sangria red , Metallic Glistening Grey and Metallic Silky Silve .

REAL TIME EXPERIENCE

Hey folks !!

This time I am sharing my real time experiences all about car failures and problem happened with me .  Yesterday  I have to go out for some work . I started my Swift VDI . From last one week I didn't start car . It started smoothly no issue in starting the car . But as I am trying to reverse car , noise come from front side like some iron rod is broken inside. Noise come only at beginning  of wheel rotation and disappears . Then I drive car out of parking space to main road . Suddenly I notice some another noise is coming from front driver side wheel . As I increase speed noise is becoming louder like something is also rotation with wheel . I drive almost for 1 km then I stopped and checked both front wheels and arc wheels if some screw of arc wheel get loose or get broken . I didn't find anything . I take car to MARUTI service centre . Time is 10.30 am so service centre is open . I talk about problem with service engineer . He takes trial , noise is also coming while he was driving . He ask me whether I have done car alignment and balancing or not ? I had done alignment and balancing 15 days before . So  I know there is no issue in car alignment . Service engineer do 360 turn on car to check for alignment . He also finds that car is perfectly aligned . He then spoke with mechanic in there service centre told them about problem . They lifted the car on ramp and start to find root of problem . They removed both front wheels . Eventually after an hour service engineer comes toward me and said that I have to leave the car for some more time they are not getting the problem . He said that there may be problem in axle so have to replace  both front axle with new one . I know that problem is not that much big to replace axle . I am getting late for my work that time so I told him I will leave my car once I will be free . Maruti service centre has policy that they don't allow Customer to their workshop area . There will be some waiting lounge you have to wait there . I personally don't like this as I love to know what exactly they do to repair or to find problem . But they  don't allow . I usually take car to another garage where the work is properly done . I complete my work and take to that garage . I told there mechanic about problem . He then take trials and recognise noise. He find that noise coming only from front driving side wheel . But event though he check all other wheel by taking car on ramp . Finally he remove Front driving  side wheel . As he removes wheel he ask me from how much days I didn't drive the car . I told him that from last seven days I didn't drive . He then shows me disc of that side . There are tiny rust particle all over disc surface . He then open calliper pin and removes brake pad . Same thing observed on pad also . There is minute gap ( clearance ) between brake pads and disc . In that gap rust particle formation takes place as car is moved from last seven days . The disc along with this particle is rubbing on pads and producing that noise. Mechanic clean disc surface and pass . Fix the pads in there place . Ask me to check noise is coming or not . I drive the car and there is no noise . Mechanic hardly take 15 min overall to solve the problem . And he also reduce the Extra burden on my pocket which will be happening if I would kept car in MARUTI service centre . 

 When you give your car to company service centre ask them all proper details . They usually told your vehicles this part or that part is one it must be replaced which even can be run for more kilometres . Replace it once it is totally damaged or not able to work further . RENAULT DUSTER 2018

Most awaited New Gen Duster is unveiled under DACIA badge . This New Gen Duster will also come to India around 2018 or 2019 but under Ranault badge . Renault Duster comes with exterior design changes and all new premium cabin . The sales of this will be expected to commence in Europe toward end of this year . Dimensions of all new Duster are largely unchanged but company claims that the SUV body panels are new . The design of new duster is lot more upmarket .

The windscreen of Duster has been moved forward by 100 mm to increase the space in interior . Looking for changes in exterior includes Clamsheel hood , a wide air- dram grille with angular chrome inserts , square shaped taillight . The headlight are pushed to either corner to look the SUV more wider . The headlight are divided in the three sections including new LED daytime running light . Bonnet has been reworked and get U shaped masculine for more assertive look . Rugged silver skid plates has been added to front and rear bumper. It gets all new 17 inch alloy wheel .

The Duster is expected to have overall length of 4.4 meter for 5 seater variant . However company is yet to confirm whether 7 seater Duster will enter into production .

For INDIAN market there is yet no clarity on design details . According to some reports the 1.5 Lt petrol and diesel unit could be retained with some new engine on line up . Europe Spec model will get 1.2 Lt TCe petrol producing 124 BHP of power and 1.6 Lt oil burner with 130 BHP . Transmission system is expected to continue with 5MT, 6MT,6EDC , 6AMT unit .

Renault has not reveal the interior details yet . IT is expected to receive lot more comprehensive changes for More upmarket and plusher looks. It will likely to include new Touche screen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto , New upholstery for seat , multi functioning steering wheel .

Safety features like ABS with EBD as standard also gets dual front air bags . Besides it will also get 4 * 4 system with locking differential lock with multiple drive modes . ESP , hill launch assist.

SKODA KODIAQ

Skoda will be launching the KODIAQ SUV in INDIA in between October - December 2017 . This car will compete against Toyota Fortuner , Ford Endeavour , Pajero Sport. Skoda Kodiaq will be available in both 5 & 7 Seat configuration . 

Looking for features on exterior Kodiaq will have projector headlamps with LED lights and at back split LED tail lamps . Kodiaq will come with panoramic sunroof . The front grille is designed with chrome which looks very stunning. Chrome is also used on window panels . The bumper section at back and front get blackened . 

Coming to engine section Kodiaq will be available in both Petrol and Diesel fuel option . Petrol variant will be available with 2.0 Lt 4 cylinder turbocharged engine while Diesel version get 2.0 Lt 4 cylinder turbocharged . 

Petrol engine will develop 177 Bhp of power with 320 NM of torque while diesel engine is tuned in two states . One will be 147 Bhp of power with 340 NM of torque and other will 187 Bhp of power along with 400 NM of Torque . Both engine variants will be couple to 7 speed automatic transmission . There will be also 4*4 system so that power is transmitted to all four wheels 

Kodiaq will have comfort features like Dual zone automatic climate control , electrically adjustable driver seat . Kodiaq will come with Cruise control , ABS , six airbags , EBD .

Skoda will launch this power packed machine in range of 25-30 lacks . Hope you like this blog .

IMPACT OF REVISED GST CESS ON CAR PRICE

The GST COUNCIL has revised CESS rate on Mid Segment Saloon car with engine < 1.5 Lt , Saloon cars with engine > 1.5 Lt and SUV segment . As expected there is no change in GST CESS rate on Small segment cars such as Compact Petrol and Compact Diesel cars . 

 

Compact Petrol engine car having engine less than 1.2  Lt have unchanged GST RATE as 28% + 1% CESS = 29%  . Compact Diesel engine car having engine less than 1.5 Lt also have unchanged GST RATE as 28%+ 3% CESS = 31 % . GST CESS rates on above mentioned both segments remains unchanged .

 

Hybrid car have GST rate as 28 % + 15% CESS = 43 % . 

Mid size Saloon car with engine less than 1.5 Lt but length greater than 4 meter have new GST RATES as 28%+ 17 % CESS = 45% . SEDAN cars with engine greater than 1.5 Lt and length also greater than 4 meter have new GST RATES as 28%+ 20% CESS = 48% . While SUV segment has new rates as 28% + 22% CESS = 50% .

Comparing to older GST RATES , Mid segment Saloon cars with engine less than 1.5 Lt and ground clearance under 170 mm , its price is increased by 2 % . While for LUXURY SEDAN cars with engine more than 1.5 Lt and ground clearance under 170 mm , price is increased by 5 % . 

SUV segment has highest increase in price . Price of SUV will increase by 7% due to revised GST CESS .

Cars Such as HONDA CITY , HYUNDAI VERNA , MARUTI CIAZ or  SUV like DUSTER , S CROSS , SCORPIO And LUXURY SUV as FORTUNER , FORD ENDEAVOUR have increase in there prices . 

GST turned negative for automobile sector after this revision on GST .

HYUNDAI VERNA NEXT GEN 2017

HYUNDAI  is all set to launch VERNA on 22  AUGUST . Booking of VERNA is already commenced. You can book with 25000 rs which will be refundable . HYUNDAI is all set to launch its THIRD Generation VERNA in INDIA . 

Hyundai has worked very hard to bring certain features which are first in segment . Lets see these features 

• ECO COATING :  With name of ECO COATING we get confused , and start thinking what exaclty it does will be first question in our mind . According to HYUNDAI , ECO COATING is technology which will eliminates odour from AC . This will improve your CABIN experience . 
• PROJECTOR FOG LAMPS : We all aware of PROJECTOR HEAD LAMPS . This Projector Head lamps is very helpful feature .It actually makes your drive more comfortable during night hours . Hyundai has added PROJECTOR FOG LAMPS in VERNA . This will reduce stress during night hours .
• VENTILATED SEATS : Hyundai has added feature of COOLED seat in VERNA . This feature is you have seen in HYUNDAI ELENTRA . The Seats has supply of AIR from AC and transfers these air to keep you cool . However heating feature is not available . As according to INDIAN condition , HEATER is not very necessary . This feature will be very needed during hot summer trips .
• HANDS-FREE BOOT OPENING : Another new feature include Hands-free Boot opening , this feature makes NEXT GEN VERNA class apart from its rivals . For opening Boot you only have to wave your foot underneath it and it  will open boot .

Apart from these FIRST IN SEGMENT feature there is also long list of feature . We will do proper review after its launch . You can find 7 Inch Infotainment system with APPLE CarPlay ,ANDROID AUTO connectivity . Hyundai has equipped VERNA with SUNROOF also . Before this ,we are getting Sunroof only in HONDA CITY . 

In exterior Verna is loaded with all new Projector Fog Lamps , New Grille , 16 inch new alloy wheels , For rear new Tail lamps with LED indication . All these feature make VERNA looks more SPORTY , STUNNING . 

ENGINE options available with VERNA are 1.6 Lt Petrol and 1.6 Lt Diesel engine variant . Transmission system includes 6 speed MT and 6 speed AT . This Power Packed machine is priced in range of 7.50  -12.50 lakh .After launch we will bring Review Blog of this NEXT GEN VERNA .
